Vacation for both parents and kids
Amazing stay with the family including our two young kids ages 5 and 8. Everyone had a fun time skiing during the day and relaxing late afternoons and evenings. The resort is definitely geared towards families. I loved that kids we kept busy and learning at their own pace with their peers and without their parents overlooking their shoulders, while us adults were in our own classes and focused on improving our skills. Everyone could relax and learn.
Elizabeth at the front desk provided amazing customer service and successfully helped us navigate the cancellation of the first leg of our return flight - thank you so much for getting us straight to Montreal so we could catch our second flight and make it home!
Virginie and Gael were great at the kids club, always paying attention to the kids and caring for them. I felt like my youngest was in good hands with them around! The 8 year old can be "independent" and come and go from the kids club as he pleases so I'm less worried about him. The kids had fun hanging out with the other kids at the ping pong tables. Sometimes it gets a little rowdy in the area with the kids yelling and playing other games in the hallways, but if that bothers you, just come to the main area from the floor above and not the ski desk.
Bastien at the kids club ski school was super helpful and always found a way to help out, like getting the kids ready with their ski equipment after the lessons were already done so we could go down the mountain as a family without us having to go back in and get the kids all geared up. Thank you very much!
Tessa was our instructor from the ski school and you can tell she's very good at what she does! She's an excellent instructor (thanks Tessa!) and would not let us get too lax. We really improved that week and enjoyed the lessons every day! We later realized she was our son's instructor the previous year and were so happy with his improvements in just 5 days of skiing.
The food is great and we always found something good to eat. There is a good variety at every meal and we often found ourselves eating more than we should. Thank goodness skiing burns a lot of calories!
We enjoyed the apres-ski at the bar with their delicious cocktails. I definitely recommend the "Tout schuss", a ginger syrup spin on a mojito. There's the afternoon snacks as well as the pre-dinner snacks in the main area next to the bar. Yes, sometimes kids are not behaved there, but I had no problem telling the kids that wasn't appropriate and that usually solved that problem.
The rooms are nice and spacious with plenty of closet space. I liked that the rooms come with a hair dryer and shampoo/conditioner/body wash that is refilled throughout our stay instead of a "sampler" kit that only lasts a day or two. That means less for me to pack!
We are already looking forward to our trip next year :)
