The Grand Massif Samoëns Morillon Chalet-Apartments France

We’ve just returned from a week at Club Med Grand Massif and had a truly lovely stay. The hotel is clean and welcoming, and this was our second visit. The holiday fully met our expectations, with fantastic ski instruction from the ESF team. Pascale, our ski instructor, was an excellent instructor and guide, and I especially loved the planned routes she organized for us each day and the detailed advice and instruction.

The service in the restaurant was also very good — Chiara and Giorgia were always welcoming, friendly, and helpful.

What really stood out for us this time, though, was the Mini Club team. They did an amazing job, not only entertaining the children and taking them to ski lessons, but also by putting on the sweetest end-of-week show — well done, Eva! Abdoul and Gaia were incredible with my little one and made me feel completely at ease leaving him, knowing he was in such good hands and genuinely cared for.

But please, bring good food, bananas, warm fish and at least médium cooked meat.

All is very nice But I must mention something that one can find extremely rear: an exceptional friendly and human touch which goes beyond the ordinary hospitality. Our luggage was delayed by airline for half of our stay, and the staff did their best to accommodate our needs. Furthermore, I would like to thank to Eden (reception) for her kind gesture. Also, highlight the high level of service and friendly atmosphere given by Spyridon in the restaurant.

Unreal location right in the middle of the mountains! There are so many areas to ski. It was nice to have a guide to show us around and were to go based on our ability.

We loved the ski in/out location of the hotel. Ski lockers were located right near the slopes. It's awesome to have boot warmers right in the locker. It does get cramped in the locker area when many people are trying to get ready.

There are so many food options. There was always something great to eat!

The hotel staff was always willing to help. Sam was extermely nice and always would to go out his way to help as needed.

They only have one outdoor hot tub which is small. It would have been nice to have several more or even a larger one indoors.

It is not a cheap place to stay but overall it is an awesome place!

I want to give this resort 6/5 but it gets 4/5 for one ridiculously simple reason but it’s a big one and I hope management will fix it because it’s stupidity and I’ve never seen it in any of the hundreds of hotels I’ve stayed in around the world. The pillows on the beds. I wish I took a photo but I didn’t. You get two square couch pillows to sleep on. It’s so uncomfortable. To the point I recommend you stop at a store on the way and buy yourself a pillow, but seriously for the price you pay for what is otherwise the best week of your life, this is such a let down. A let down because you done get a great nights sleep on what is otherwise a great bed and great rooms. They have no other options and everyone complains about it. Management…fix it!!

Also two washing machines for a +400 resort just isn’t good enough.

But as for everything else, amazing. Well worth the trip. I can’t say enough for the staff, the hospitality, the food, the whole experience for a family. I would 100% come again…but only if you change the pillows.
