We booked a Family Deluxe Room for three nights at Club Med Lijiang, which included meals, drinks, activities, and nightly performances.
We were “fortunate” enough to experience a winter wonderland during our stay, but this also meant that the outdoor activities were closed/moved indoors eg trapeze, adult pool.
• Room: Having two toilets in the room was a game changer! It also came with a laundry rack useful for some light laundry washing. Amenities and housekeeping were basic.
• Meals: Loved the lunch and dinner spread! A wide variety of China cuisine (which I absolutely enjoyed!), plus some Western delights like Beef Wellington, foie gras, and steak. The biggest surprise? Singapore/Malaysia dishes like Hainanese chicken rice, nasi lemak, and bak kut teh! Kids had their usual pasta, nuggets, and fries, and daily dose of 米线。
• Activities: A bit of a letdown that the pool was only open on alternate days, so we only got to use the pool once. Most kids’ club activities were scheduled during the day, when we were out. Luckily we still managed to participate in cookie-making and trapeze on the last morning before check out. The kids night activity was trivia and team challenges, kids only got the groove in the last night.
• Performances: Family-friendly but not Broadway-level like Royal Caribbean. The kids enjoyed it, and I was just happy to have one hour where I didn’t have to entertain them!
Just ended our 5 days 4 nights trip in Club Med Lijiang yesterday. It was indeed one of the most unforgettable experience that we had experienced.
Right from just before the trip started till the last day of the trip, the coordination for the pick up from airport till departure, the rooms arrangement, the advice on places to visits, local food delights to try, activities within Club Med Lijiang, were simply great!
Having visited quite a number of Club Med and Resorts though they were great, but honestly, this trip was a really unforgettable experience! I would really give a great THUMBS UP for Taylor !!! What impressed me most is the professionalism demonstrated by Hailey and Adib. Under Hailey’s leadership, the ClubMed Lijiang G.O. Team have developed very good adherence to best practices and at the same time cares for local guests
For example, an afternoon I saw another guest wanted flexibility and sent their kids to flying Tranpeze session originally designed for adults (as this is their convenient slot). After client management first by Kun and then her consultation to Adib, the team lead of Flying Tranpeze, they turned down the request as they prioritised the safety protocols and client wellbeing, and at same time proved they care about client feelings by discussing and thinking about the technical specifics.
The team has done an excellent job, promoting the long term best practice and interests. Well done!

This resort is the 9th Clubmed I've chosen, and it's truly amazing. In the end, the kids didn't want to leave. The days with the G.O.s by our side are really unforgettable. The Village Chief, Hailly, greeted every guest with such enthusiasm that it made us feel right at home.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Club Med Lijiang with the whole family.
The resort is beautiful, with a relaxing atmosphere and enjoyable activities to keep you engaged. Although there were a few minor issues in the room that could use some attention, it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
A special shoutout to GO Kun - She was incredibly dedicated, approachable, and always had a positive, pleasant personality. A true asset to the company.
I would definitely recommend Club Med Lijiang for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway.
