Columbus Isle Bahamas

Beautiful location, friendly people, and the embodiment of the Club Med spirit is found here on Columbus Isle. We spent our week enjoying the fantastic food, meeting people from all over the world, and trying new sports and activities. Huge shout out to Shawn, who helped ensure one of us got back to the resort safely after a mechanical issue rendered his rented bike useless. (We will forever be grateful to you!)
We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, thanks especially to Anna, who made our time on Columbus Isle extra meaningful. Her open heart and friendly attitude embodies the spirit of Club Med - and it is really the people that make this location special.
We are already planning to come back - we miss the beautiful blue water!

This was my eight visit to Club Med.
Have visited all of them in the Caribbean and the two in Mexico !!

We were a family of ten and this was THE best !!!

There are SO many superlatives.
The list is long !!

🌴 The Club is five minutes from the
sleepy airport.
Many people walk.

🌴 The reception area opens out onto a
beautiful pool deck with the ocean
beyond.
There is NO fence around the pool, as
there are at several other Club
Meds.
You can swim 24 hours a day, with a
lifeguard on duty from 9-5

🌴 The property is beautiful, with lovely
flowering bushes and landscaping.
Guests are housed in brightly coloured
two-story casitas, most of which seem
to have a view of the ocean.

🌴 There are ten clay tennis courts,
with well-attended clinics every
morning.

🌴 The property is on a stunning
crescent beach , with white sand
and turquoise water.

🌴 The food is excellent and
imaginative, with a great, nightly Grill
out on the verandah. The wines are
great and the second restaurant is
delightful.

🌴 MOST importantly, every single GO,
chambermaid, gardener , server
in the dining room, people at
Reception and Gift Shop were, to a
person, just delightful: friendly and
helpful, always with a smile.

Nicolas, the new Chef du Village was present everywhere and very friendly.

If I could make a suggestion, I would suggest that the rule against smoking and vaping be better inforced.
The French are still big smokers and need to respect the rules.

All in all, it was a perfect week and Columbus Isle is at the top of my list.

Spent my second week at Club Med Columbus Isle this winter, and wow—this place is stunning. The beach is absolutely unreal, with the softest white sand and the clearest turquoise water I’ve ever seen.

The staff really made the trip even better. Ari at the bar was super friendly & smiling and always made a great drink. Behruz, the sailing instructor, was awesome—so patient and encouraging. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, which made it even more fun.

But the absolute highlight of the trip was Julia, the sommelier. She has the most amazing energy—so warm, charismatic, and full of sunshine. She didn’t just recommend wines; she made the whole experience feel special and personal. Every time she stopped by, she lit up the room, and you could tell she really loves connecting with people.

Between the gorgeous beach and the incredible staff, this trip was unforgettable. Already dreaming about going back!

This was my second trip there and I had a wonderful week. The weather was great. The beach/scenery is beautiful. All the staff was awesome: from Anna (the nicest GO!) who was really kind and welcoming, to the amazing massage therapist Anya, to the dynamic and fun tennis coaches. Thank you all for the great work you do! Great memories and I will certainly be back in the future
